Rob Peters


Rob was first introduced to the Disc Jockey industry back in the mid 1980’s as an apprentice at Continental Cablevision, serving as an audio technician, lighting coordinator, and producer. From 1987 through 1991, he seasoned these skills at Saint Joseph’s College’s radio station in Windham, Maine. Rob was additionally employed by WMGX-FM, WGAN-AM, and the Maine Mariners Radio Network as a producer and announcer from 1988 through 1991.

The Rob Peters Entertainment Group

In the fall of 1987, Rob began his career as a mobile Disc Jockey, entertaining at weddings, school and college events, and radio station promotions. Rob also has experience at some of the finest radio stations throughout New England, as well as the greater Boston area. Now, as President of the Rob Peters Entertainment Group of Braintree, Massachusetts, Rob has performed for hundreds of events and clients throughout the New England region.

Rob attended his first DJ Idea Sharing event in April of 2002 as a guest speaker. He assisted at DJ Idea Sharing 4 and officially became Co-organizer and Co-host with DJ Idea Sharing 5 in 2003. Rob was instrumental in bringing DJ Idea Sharing to the DJ stores as well as the various conventions. He also concepted the ‘Fishbowl’ Idea Sharing.

Rob runs The Rob Peters Entertainment Group (RPE) in the greater Boston area. He is accredited by the National Association of Mobile Entertainers, as an Endorsed Professional Entertainer. He also served as the New England regional coordinator and the National Director of Media Relations for the organization.The Business of Mobile DJing by Rob Peters Rob currently remains an active member of NAME, as well as being one of the charter members of the Professional Disc Jockeys of New England. He is also a multiple time Mobile Beat DJ AllStar.

Rob recently celebrated the release of his book for Mobile Disc Jockeys called "The Business of Mobile DJing" from ProDJ Publishing. He can also be heard via his various podcasts on the DJ Idea Sharing Podcast Network and be seen moderating topics at the DJ Idea Sharing forum. You can also see Rob speaking at DJ events just about everywhere!
